The Constitution

1.The Association shall be known as:-

BEDFORD MODERN SCHOOL PARENTS’ ASSOCIATION

2.The objectives shall be:-

(a)to facilitate social interaction between parents and, where appropriate, between parents, governors and staff;

(b)to provide a positive environment for good communication and

  co-operation between home and school;

(c)to be proactive in giving support and information to

  parents while respecting the channels of communication within the

  school;

(d)to act as a sounding board for parental views;

(e)to support the school, parents and pupils through extracurricular activities such as fund raising, charitable work and the giving of time and skills;

(f)to provide funding which might not otherwise be available.

3.All parents and guardians of present pupils of Bedford Modern School are Members of the Association and eligible to stand for election to the Parents’ Association Committee.
