Gap Year

Taking a Gap Year?

If your son/daughter is planning a Gap Year which involves helping with a worthwhile project in a developing country and has to raise funds to finance the trip, he or she may be eligible for support from the BMSPA Careers Fund.

When submitting an application, information on the actual project should be supplied including how much the venture will cost the student and how they are going to raise the money along with what they will actually be doing. Any additional literature giving information on the worthy cause should also be included.

Each application will be considered on its merits – students should write to us giving full details of their plans by 31st March. Applications will then be discussed at the Committee meeting in April. A guide for the students can be obtained by clicking on Gap Students' Guide.
